@vincent@micro.blog I think @caseyliss has mentioned someone that does logo design on @atpfm before.
@simonbs I was so happy when MS Teams added this feature. The not disturbing people is nice, but it's even better not getting a reply to my message until Monday ...
@christianselig as others have said, finding the screws attaching the wall board to the studs is helpful. Are you sure you have metal piping and not PEX?
Studs will be evenly spaced, but pipes won't, so you might be able to eliminate the pipes if you find enough studs.
Good stud finders will also have a mode for detecting live wiring: https://www.boschtools.com/us/en/boschtools-ocs/inspection-detection-tools-gms-120-35140-p/
@siracusa at least not until after the iMac section ...
@ttscoff I think the person you are sharing the meal with can say for themselves if it makes them uncomfortable. If they simply express gratitude, accept it as that and don't worry.
I've been on both sides of this scenario. With a good friend, it feels good either way.
@manton there isn't much out there, but the sunrises and sunsets are amazing aren't they!
@siracusa the cure: https://kagi.com
@chrishannah it's a really great service, and Vincent keeps gradually refining it over time. It's the simple, lightweight analytics service I've been trying to find for years.
@cabel that was bonkers.
What did you use to generate the video from your audio recording?
@jsnell yes, you are 😆

@clockwise One issue @lschmeiser may run into with Fantastical is not every organization allows third-party apps to connect to their Outlook data. I ran into this because my company requires some framework be implemented that allows them to remove company data from anything that has connected to our Microsoft 365 instance. Hopefully it works for her, because I love Fantastical. It just doesn't give me the same utility since it doesn't work with my company calendar anymore.
@drdrang I hope there's room for two of us here then! 🤣
@simonbs European airport lounges are the best. In America we have to go ask a bartender to pour our drinks at the lounge.
Though I've never had as ... intimate ... a security screening as I've experienced at Schiphol ...
@chrishannah more British English fodder for @siracusa and @hotdogsladies
@drdrang Yeah, that was more of a lame joke about how the BIOS and OS used to never stay in sync than a question. 🙈
@mergesort it's amazing though, isn't it?
@paul I'm late to this, but replaced that Logitech doorbell with the UniFi one and it's like night and day. UniFi is super reliable, and 24/7 recording is handy every now and then. I don't miss the Logitech one at all.
@simonbs I did the same with my wife for my master's thesis. Her insights into what did and didn't make sense as someone outside my field of study was really helpful for improving many aspects of it.
@manton if only @vincent@micro.blog could help with some house stuff in return!
@drdrang you mean the OS time or the BIOS time?
