@caseyliss random thought, it would probably work just as well with any magnet if the screw mounts sticking out bother you.
@marcoarment @caseyliss but the important part is the mail carrier only sees the magnet, and only inside the mailbox. You don't see anything from the outside.
@atpfm @caseyliss you can cut the wires for the contact sensor, run it inside the mailbox, and then splice them back together with wire nuts. Lets you tuck things out of the way for a much cleaner look.
