@paul that's some good bull! 👍🏻

@hotdogsladies So, I remember reading Kenji Lopez-Alt explain this helps with fried eggs. It keeps the runny whites from spreading all over the pan and creating those thin edges as it cooks. Not sure why someone would do that for an omelet. Maybe it affects the texture?

@dobyfriday @hotdogsladies people strain their eggs to remove the loose whites. Why this helps? Don't remember.

@vincent@micro.blog Apologies, I should have checked my extensions first. Something StopTheMadness is doing created madness this time. Disabled that and it works as you described.

Sorry for the bother! Also, thank you for putting this project together! It looks like just the easy, simple analytics solution I've been searching for.

@vincent@micro.blog it seems I can't copy the embed script on an iPad?

@sarahhbickerton Zotero seems to have a pretty nice PDF annotation system built-in, and I like the way I can tag references with different topics. I'm toying with the idea of just dumping all of that material into the app and managing it there. I probably wouldn't bother to update the metadata until I actually needed to cite something, but I like the idea of a central research repository.

@sarahhbickerton For example, I have close to 70 years worth of papers from a particular conference I attend regularly, but they are all just PDFs sitting on my hard drive. I tried Devonthink once upon a time, and it never stuck (probably because I tried using it for too many things).

@sarahhbickerton That was a great read! First, your tech setup at the time is a flashback to my nearly identical setup while working on my masters. I still love that little laptop, even though it was bad in so many ways.

At the time, you only put things into Endnote after you had read them. Have you ever found a good solution for organizing potential research material?

@sarahhbickerton I'll be sure to check that out. Thanks for sharing!

@sarahhbickerton That sounds like a topic I'd love to hear more about. I went though several moments of, "wait, which pdf did I highlight that in 🤔," while working on my most recent paper.

@sarahhbickerton has sent me down a rabbit hole with Endnote alternative Zotero (it appealed to me more than Endnote for … reasons). This is taking up so much more than 30 minutes of my day 🤣. But I'm loving what this might do for future research projects; I'm so glad you discussed this on @clockwise!

@settern @lindadong how fun must it be to show up at WWDC in the same outfit you recorded your video in!!!

@_Davidsmith you have proven with Widgetsmith you are in tune with what colors are fashionable!

@alexcox but that might deprive all of us of YOUR version of that joke!

@jeremyburge @viticci This is why I use "Tony" at coffe shops and such, because when I say "Anthony" in public people somehow hear "Nathan" ... 🤷🏻‍♂️

@heyheymomo that bear on a bicycle and the cows are the greatest!!!

@zeealeid What would be great is if they would just use the same keyboard navigation shortcuts. Things like Command + arrow keys should behave the same in Word and Pages, Outlook and Mail, etc.

@rob @upgrade @jsnell Yes! We need more canine cuts!

I thought @imyke might enjoy this story about the architect who designed part of the Beverly Hills Hotel: youtu.be/f-aPMBPYYvM
